Lido Beach Cleanup Seeks Volunteers

The Town of Hempstead and the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society will hold a community beach cleanup on Sunday, August 23, from 9:00 AM to noon at Lido Beach Town Park, 630 Lido Boulevard. The cleanup is free, but registration is required, and volunteers will sign up for one of two 1.5-hour sessions. Supplies will be provided, although participants are encouraged to bring their own gloves. Volunteers can help remove marine debris and learn how cleanup data is reported to NOAA.
