Free Rabies Clinic Serves County Pets

Suffolk County and the Town of Islip will offer free rabies vaccinations for dogs, cats and ferrets on Sunday, October 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Islip Animal Shelter, 200 S. Technology Drive in Central Islip. The clinic is open to all county residents, but vaccine quantities are limited and will be given while supplies last. No appointment is needed. Dogs must be leashed, while cats and ferrets must be brought in carriers. County and state rules require these animals to be vaccinated against rabies.
